I bought Bogart for $25 in a new suburban area in Bolton. One of her nephew’s knew Fil wanted a dog and he told her about a friend who had puppies for sale.
On April 19th on an Easter Sunday Fil went out to see these puppies his friend had for sale. At the time there was only 3 puppies left out of 8 puppies for sale.
When Fil was presented with the 3 puppies left the one that was trying really hard to get her attention was this funny colored puppy. He had a black stripe down his back, grey paws and the cutest face Fil had ever seen. In that moment she had fallen in love with him, Fil paid the owner and put him in her jacket pocket and left with him peeking out of the pocket to see where he was headed.
Bogart was a mutt as they call dogs with a lot of different breeds. One thing I know for sure he was part German Shepherd, the Vet told me he could see some Great-Dane, Terrier and Bouvieri in him.
I had Bogart for 16 wonderful years and not a day goes by I don’t miss him.The one thing that keeps me going is all the funny memories of the silly things that happened to us together.
